The New Jersey Devil announced Tuesday that the team has signed defenseman Nikitin Zadorouv to a one-year, two-way contract.
Zadorovic, 21, has played in 63 games with the Devils this season and has one goal and one assist.
He also has one penalty in 20 games with Dallas this season.
Zadorov is a native of Moscow, Russia and has appeared in six games with Moscow’s HC Vladimir Solovyov’s Kontinental Hockey League team this season, recording two assists.
Zadorev, who will wear No. 7 with the New Jersey-based club, has recorded 18 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 53 career games with KHL club HC Kontins.
Zadoreov was acquired by the Devils from the Dallas Stars in a trade in July.
The Devils signed Zadorovev to the one-way agreement after the Devils’ June 30 trade deadline, as well as the July 1 signing of defenseman Chris Kreider to a three-year deal.
Zalashev, 25, was the second of four players acquired by New Jersey during the deal with Dallas.
The Devils signed goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov to a two-year contract with a $5.75 million cap hit on July 2.
